This Kinstretch online class was a lower-body + spine focused session, built around controlled resistance work using simple “rigging” setups. We started, as always, with a full upper + lower CARs sweep to prime every major joint and clean up movement quality before loading anything.
Today’s main theme was band-resisted control. We anchored a resistance band to something stable—a weight, kettlebell, dumbbell, or even the foot of a table—so we could create consistent tension and get a strong training effect without fancy equipment.
Lower-body work included:
• Collapsed cossack hip IR with band resistance
• Hip flexion with the band
• Ankle dorsiflexion (DF) against band resistance
• Band-resisted controlled knee IR/ER (tibial rotation control)
Then we shifted into spine training with the band:
• Straddle-base spine lateral flexion against resistance (side-bending strength + control)
• Quadruped spinal segmentation with band assistance/resistance
• Collapsed kneeling lumbar-blocked segmentation with the band to limit low-back cheating and create a cleaner wave through the spine
This one is ideal if you want stronger, more usable range in the hips/ankles/knees, plus more control and resilience through the spine.
